The Healthy Travels Journey

 More than 20 years ago, I was in a serious car accident, resulting in a severe brain injury. After a decade of medical procedures, including 16-hour brain surgery, and the lasting effects of PTSD, insomnia, anxiety, and depression, my situation remained primarily unchanged. Like others, my prescription list was substantial, as were the side effects of the medications. One of my physicians prescribed 10 mg of Valium 8x a day. I was a zombie. 

A few years ago, someone very close to me was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast and bone cancers. With her personal research and the approval of her oncologist, She decided to try CBD. Shortly after starting CBD, she is nearly pain-free, and her tumor markers have been cut in half.

Back in 2015, my dad, a retired union carpenter, and Korean War vet, called to tell me he was having aches and pains. He asked if I knew anything about CBD. I didn’t but seeing the relief CBD provided for a cancer patient motivated me to educate myself.

I first learned about the health benefits of CBD from a retired state trooper. After receiving product samples for my father, I was amazed at how CBD quickly alleviated his discomfort. I thought if CBD helped my dad, could it help me?

The short answer is yes! Since I began using CBD as part of my daily health routine, many of my symptoms have been eliminated or significantly improved. My physician has discontinued the Valium prescription, among others, and I returned to a coherent and much happier version of myself. 

I spent the next year researching CBD and connecting with reputable experts. As fate would have it, the opportunity to launch Healthy Travels revealed itself. My goal with Healthy Travels is to provide superior quality CBD products and evidence-based information about CBD and how it works naturally with the human body.
